- browse texts - articles, books, blogs and other publications - described here. These key readings will guide you through theories of world capitalist development in history, economics, politics, sociology, philosophy, and other social sciences
- browse the authors who wrote these texts, and find out more about them
- browse commentaries on these texts - abstracts, reviews, endorsements or simply discussions about the ideas in them.
Authenticated users can:
- add texts, authors and comments yoiurself, with bibliographic references and links,
- categorise texts so that users can reference them and search for them by topic and interest
When the site is fully ready, authenticated users will be able to
- list the texts and comments, to produce structured lists of readings such as bibliographies or course outlines
- study the works of key thinkers and contemporary authors
- find out about key events - conferences, seminars, colloquia - where the ideas on this site are being discussed
Our watchwords are accuracy, pluralism, engagement and collaboration. If you find something here that you don't like, which misrepresents you or an idea you are interested in, if you think something is missing, or if you simply think something could be done better, let us know and we'll help put it right.
This site hosts the Future of World Capitalism book series. If you are planning on writing something, you will get feedback and direction from the people that who want to read it. And if you're looking for that book that nobody has written yet, here is where to ask for it.
